About me:
I'm Ren, I was born in Coventry and have lived in Wales, the land of my fathers (well, actually my grandfather) since I was ten.
I've been married for eleven years to an American from New Jersey and we have two kids. My wife carried and birthed them both. Flower 9, and identifies as a girl.. Tabby is 5 and a cancer survivor and had a liver transplant in January 2022. She has been in remission for the past 18 months or so. She probably the healthiest of us all. I have a 22 year old nephew called Taylor, he is autistic and has dyspraxia and adhd. He was the best man at my wedding and, still is my best man. I have a 15 year old niece called Poppy who is definitely more like her mum than my sister would like! My sister is doing her nursing degree, she's a HCA at the moment.
We live just south of Aberystwyth and work for the university as the accommodation admin and database monkey.
I have diabetes type 2, mostly controlled. I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain. I also have depression and anxiety - the severe life long kind and have done since I was a teenager. I'm working on continuing the work my mum did to break out of the trauma of her childhood and my own.
I have always written. I write mostly fanfiction, non-fiction, fantasy and sci-fi. I used to write a lot of poetry, but not so much any more. I have a blog - Queer Little Family - but I don't write in much anymore. I don't write much of anything anymore. Partly due to the last few years doing a number of my mental health and my creativity.
I have an online shop - Queer Little Shop - that I started to take seriously in lock down and hope to grow more and more. I make mostly pride stuff, but branch out now and then. I draw it all, and make a great deal of it. I have a market stall at Aberystwyth Farmers Market once a month and do Pride Events around Wales. I am hoping to open a Queer Space in Aberystwyth.
I have over twenty tattoos - including the earth address from Stargate on my right calf and am working on covering my entire lower left leg.

I just finished replaying all the games of the series lately and it was fantastic. ♥ It's some of my favorite games of all time. Who are your favorite characters? Who did you romance? For me, it was: DAO - Morrigan or Zevran, DA2 - Fenris, DAI - Sera, Cassandra, and Dorian. My favorite characters are Morrigan, Zevran, Fenris, Sera, Varric, and Cole. I love most of the cast, though!

I am watching a Let's Play of Origins atm because I don't have time to play it and of course the kids can't watch it. I've played it about 8 times already and I cannot handle playing the fade again. I've romanced Leliana, Morrigan and Alistair. Leliana is my favourite as well as Morrigan.
In DA2 which is an underrated game I always, always romance Isabela except that one time I romanced Merril. Isabela is my fave.
In DAI My faves are Cassandra, Josephine and Krem, I've romanced both Cassandra and Josephine and Cullen and Sera. My wife keeps asking me to romance play as a dwarf and to romance Iron Bull lol.
I also have a tattoo of a nug.

Date: 2023-07-15 05:07 pm (UTC)Wow, really? I love the way we can connect with people online like that, and they become an intrinsic part of our lives. I met my partner through HP and Homestuck in a discord server, and now we're living together.
THAT'S SO FAIR. I forgot how bad the Fade was until I replayed it recently. It drove me up a wall. It's so unpleasant. I know people often complain about the Deep Roads, but I'd play it repeatedly before The Fade again!!
That's a lot of good choices. I can tell you're a person with great taste. 👌 I romanced Casandra recently as a qunari and that was hilarious because of the camera cuts. They're always angling down so sharply to fit both characters in the screen. Similarly, I reset inquisition and set to romancing Blackwall as a dwarf, and that's equally hilarious for the opposite reason.
That's so cool! Nugs are so cute!
