This is on Cult Pens alcohol marker paper. I can see places I messed up, but it's all a work in progress. I don't know if I prefer to the Winsor & Newton marker paper. Still struggling with reds, I need a darker shade, but I saw another set on Vinted that had the reds in it I could use.
Any tips on what paper/card to use I would appreciate. I really enjoy using the alcohol markers.
Wow!

1) Crosspost your examples and questions to
2) Do science to it. Take one page each of your different papers, and make a test swatch of each of your pens on it. Label both the paper and the pen marks so you can keep track of which is which. This will allow you to compare directly the performance of the same pen with different papers and the same paper with different pens. Because the composition differs across colors, brands, etc. you may find that one paper works better with certain colors or brands.
People do this a lot with watercolors, and especially, they test different techniques. Some techniques are similar for watercolors and alcohol markers. So you might want to test your papers' support of things like creating a smooth area of color without streaking, or blending two different colors on the paper. Depending on the texture and sizing, some papers will absorb pigments faster or slower, with fine lines or more feathering or graininess. Again, label the paper and colors for tracking. You may find that one paper is just inferior, or that you prefer different papers for different types of project.
